We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented Quality Manager to continue to raise our high bar in quality standards and continuous improvement culture.


We are seeking a high energy, self-starter to drive overall plant performance improvement and promote a high performance culture. This position will report to the Executive Director of Operations, and will be responsible for process and product quality, supplier's quality, the continuous improvement program ACE, and leading a team of direct/indirect reports for the Charlotte, NC Commercial Applied facility.


**RESPONSIBILITIES:**


+ Drive a proactive and responsive customer focus culture

+ Improve the maturity of the quality management system, corrective action process and continuous Improvement across the Charlotte Operation

+ Strengthen the quality control plan on the different production lines

+ Provide quality management expertise and communication to align team members, other departments and leadership around organizational strategy, values, goals and objectives

+ Support strategic initiatives to drive reduction within customer, supplier, and operations quality metrics

+ Lead / drive investigations and corrective action for customer related failures, and facilitate customer quality & reliability interactions

+ Support and ensure timely response to customer inquiries to improve customer satisfaction

+ Collaborate with design, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing organizations to ensure new products and changed to exiting products are designed for manufacturing and reliability

+ Lead the manufacturing quality team on passport process deliverables for all new programs

+ Direct quality projects, investigations and corrective actions by establishing strategy and providing leadership and organization necessary for success

+ Prepare for and present quality reports to upper management and customers

+ Establish firm and clear expectations for the team and help manage multiple projects simultaneously

+ Develop, coach, mentor and manage staff. Establish goals and develop measurable metrics to gauge achievement against goals

+ Accountable for budget, staffing, and/or business/operational results

+ Work with key supplier to improve quality performance

+ Follow up issue resolution process with supplier to closure

+ Support strategic initiatives to enhance supplier quality performance and drive process controls and improvement

+ Prepare and host regulatory inspections and complete all audit responses timely to sustain certifications


**Qualification:**

Incumbent should possess working knowledge of mechanical engineering, lean manufacturing and ACE (six-sigma). Additionally, the incumbent should display a project management mindset with process rigor and discipline from previous work experiences.


+ 8+ years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, and/or Engineering with at least 3 years of supervisory experience

+ Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of leadership, suppliers, and external customers, responding in a professional manner

+ Experience with ISO9001

+ Experience with ASME code a plus

+ Ability to recognize time sensitivity

+ Flexible and adaptable style with an eagerness to take on new challenges

+ Ability to assess complex situations, articulate options and identify important actions

+ Problem solver who not only identifies issues but leads efforts to resolve them

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills

+ Experience leading, communicating, and influencing a cross-functional Management team

+ Strong and thorough quality knowledge, including:

+ Quality data collection, Pareto & data analysis / trending

+ Statistical concepts and methods

+ Inspection methods & tools, mechanical and electrical

+ Design quality tools: FMEA, Poka-yoke, New Product Introduction

+ Process control methods: Process capability, MSA, DoE

+ Continuous improvement: six Sigma, 8-D, lean transformation

+ Supplier qualification: APQP, PPAP, Control plans


**Education:**


+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Science / Technology or related technical field

+ Master's degree or MBA highly desirable
